SFBTA Outreach Committee 

The Outreach Committee supports SFBTA’s commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible community for all members.  If you are passionate about fostering belonging and inclusion in the SF community and would like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you.

The Committee's Mission and Goals

The mission and goals of the Outreach Committee are to:

  1. Work to ensure SFBTA is without discrimination (Equity) and all feel welcome (Belonging)

  2. Work to include groups currently not represented (Inclusion and Diversity) 

  3. Reduce financial barriers to participating in SFBTA (Equity) (scholarships, online events)

  4. Collaborate with the Professional Development Committee to create platforms and opportunities for new and underrepresented members to share their stories and expertise.

  5. Collaboration with research committee to highlight research on using SF for supporting underserved and underrepresented communities and identity development

  6. Per Article 3 Point 9 of SFBTA bylaws, provide non-binding consultation if and when a complaint of discrimination by the SFBTA is brought forward by a member.
